Michel, der aus der Großstadt kommt, lässt sich in einem abgelegenen ukrainischen Dorf nieder, um seltene Wasserbüffel zu retten. Sein Traum wird herausgefordert, als er sich in ein deutsches Mädchen aus seiner Heimatstadt verliebt.

Dies ist die Geschichte von Michel, einem jungen deutschen Mann, dessen Traum es ist, ein einfaches Leben fernab der Zivilisation zu führen. Er lebt in den ukrainischen Bergen und kümmert sich um bedrohte Tiere – Wasserbüffel. Nach 10 Jahren als Einzelgänger verliebt sich Michel in Vera, eine Frau aus seiner Heimatstadt in Deutschland, die aus einer vorherigen Beziehung zwei kleine Kinder hat. Michel zieht zurück nach Deutschland und versucht, mit Vera eine neue Familie zu gründen. Letztendlich muss Michel entscheiden: Ist die Liebe einen gebrochenen Traum wert?

Coming from the big city, Michel settles down in a remote Ukrainian village to save rare water buffaloes. His dream is challenged when he falls in love with a German girl from his hometown.

This is a story of a young German man Michel, whose dream is to lead a simple life far from civilization. He lives in the Ukrainian mountains and is taking care of endangered animals – water buffaloes. After 10 years of being a loner, Michel falls in love with Vera, a woman from his hometown in Germany, who has two small kids from the previous relationship. Michel moves back to Germany and is trying to create a new family with Vera. After all, Michel has to decide – is love worth a broken dream?
